Okay, this is really about me.

I’m just a guy trying to share some thoughts. Some of the thoughts are mine, others are ones I found interesting.

I may not agree with everything here. Some, hopefully most, are included because I found them thought provoking.

I enjoy travel, philosophy and for a time considered myself a Christian. I actually taught classes in local a church. Some of these classes were the typical Sunday Bible study, others were more in depth including basic theology. However, I had a preacher point out that terms come with baggage whether or not it is intended. He was talking about what people thought of his denomination. When I considered what he said and, at the time of this writing, a lot of people who represent themselves as Christian act in a manner that I would not care to be associated with. This isn’t to take sides or offend. I still have my faith and what I believe, just without the labels that bring so much negativity. Rather it is to say, I don’t wish to be part of that group, which some might say is sad. Today, I might keep more of my feelings and beliefs to myself unless I know you personally and you genuinely wish to know.

Nevertheless, some think I’m very religious, others might not agree with my interpretations. Many conservative friends think I’m a flaming liberal and my liberal friends think I’m a heartless conservative. As I said above, the thoughts I share are not always opinions I agree with. Please don’t suppose you really know how I feel about something without us specifically discussing it, in detail.

I believe in science and the scientific method. I like philosophy and enjoy studying religion. Some think I’m very religious, others might not agree or would disagree with my might interpretations. Many conservative that know me think I’m a flaming liberal and just as many liberals think I’m a heartless conservative. As I said above, the thoughts I share are not always opinions I agree with. But something to consider.

Please don’t suppose you really know how I feel about any subject without us getting to know each other and discussing it, in detail.
